It’s finally happening, the summer season is coming to a close, and what an amazing- but quick- summer it has been. School starts in a few short weeks, and the cool weather is blanketing over us all as well speak. Let’s go over the best activities during fall
Visiting the Pumpkin patch
This is by far one of the best fall traditions to do. Visit your local pumpkin patch in Toronto or Durham Region. My personal favourite has been – Pringles- farm for their pumpkin patch and corn maze. Take your best friends and go check and support so local farms in your area. Pringles offer a whole bunch of things such as peddle karting, a huge hay bale slide and so much artisan small business items as well as fresh pumpkin, apple and blueberry pies. Make sure to go check them out!
Taking photos with the fall colours
As a photographer, this is a must. and not professional photos but just pulling out your phone and having some fun photos with your closest people. Within Durham Region there are so many amazing photo ops locations, Greenwood conservation in Ajax is STUNNING. Ashburn View Property https://www.facebook.com/people/Ashburn-View-Property/100080466732896/ in Whitby is another small business that has stunning views and last but not least take a drive out the Algonquin Parks. This is by far the most stunning views! I highly reccomend it.
Roast s’more with friends
Personally, we love to do this as well. Only my property we have a large fire pit that we always have a potluck night with friends and family. This is so much fun because everyone brings their favourite meals and come over share food, laughs and most important S’MORES. We sit by the fire and chat and eat s’mores. It truly is one of my favourite things todo with my favourite people.
Carve pumpkins
As messy as this can be and hard work; i love having a pumpkin carving contest with friends. We truly are are horrible artist but that is what makes it so much fun. Carving, laughing and just spending genuine time with your favourite people. I will say that makes use to get some smaller pumpkins for the younger kiddos. Or if you are designing pumpkins for the front porch make sure that you get sizes that are complimentary to each other. If you can get different colours too that would be perfect for additional decor.
Decorate the house
Okay i need to know, am i the only one that has a budget for fall/halloween decor? I make one each year and i love being able to add to the decor and make the house feel more like a home. Plus my kids love having the fun decorated house! I love the fall leaves, and the over the top decor and most important i love making fun crafts especially with my kids and family! I huge suggestion for you to try.
A fall family session with your family
This is the best time of year to capture your family photos! There are so many amazing picture locations that will help make memories with your family amazing. I love bringing my clients to unique locations so they not only have fun, but they also get a chance to have fun, capture some memories and print so beautiful large images for your home.
Whatever you choose to do; make sure that you do it with your favourite people, I personally love the creating memories with my people and looking back on each year.
